Based on our Vision of a world where people control their own lives, we aim to provide creative services which enable people to play a full role in the communities in which they live, and ensure that we manage the individual risks and provide positive outcomes for each individual, however complex their needs may be.
Throughout the North West we provide services to people with learning disabilities. Whether that is in one of our two adult care homes with nursing, our seven adult care homes or more commonly through our supported living services, the person can expect to receive individualised support of the highest standard.
All our staff are trained in the use of person centred skills, enabling them to recognise and balance what good support looks like to an individual, keeping them both healthy and safe. Staff are skills matched to the people they support (looking at skills, common interests, personal qualities etc). Each service has a person-centred planning facilitator and all our service managers are person-centred team developers: this ensures that staff understand their roles and responsibilities and are able to use their creativity and judgement to help people to achieve their desired outcomes.
With a reputation for being able to successfully support people with the most complex and challenging needs, we have developed a wealth of expertise within the organisation that allows us to firmly put the people we support in the centre of everything that we do for them: enabling people to fulfil their aspirations.
