Interested in becoming a Trustee?

We are currently seeking one new Trustee to join the Board. We would particularly welcome expressions of interest from people with a social care background.

The Charity also seeks to benefit from Trustees with varied life experiences and perspectives and will be hoping to attract people who represent the stakeholders with whom we work, or who have an understanding of governance and the ability to think strategically.

All Trustees share the Charity's commitment to delivering its mission - to work creatively with people and their aspirations to make positive things happen in a challenging world - people fully living their lives.

The Trustees support the Charity's aims through strategic planning and decision making, attending between 8 to 10 board and committee meetings and other events per year, as well as championing its work widely.

A comprehensive Trustee induction, development and on-going training programme is provided to ensure that Trustees are, and remain, fully aware of their legal, regulatory, and moral responsibilities as well as being familiar with the particular aims and objectives of Alternative Futures Group. All Trustees are encouraged to visit the Charity’s office premises and operational sites to interface with staff and service users.

For an informal discussion about becoming a trustee and for more information on how to apply for this position, please contact Kirsty MacPherson by telephone on 0151 489 5501 or by email at kirsty.macpherson@alternativefuturesgroup.org.uk
