Mental Health

We have a range of services designed to promote independence through rehabilitation and social inclusion, including six independent hospitals and one adult care home with nursing which are registered to provide rehabilitation for adults with mental health problems. We also have a wide variety of supported living services for service users with mental health problems.  Different models of rehabilitation are used within the services depending on the assessed needs of each individual service user.

Mental Health Services at Alternative Futures Group

Alternative Futures Group is committed to developing staff to enhance the lives of the people we support.  All qualified nurses have been trained to implement the HCR20 Risk Assessment and are supervised via a nurse consultant from a local NHS Trust.

Our staff are currently undertaking training to enable them to deliver effective Psychosocial Interventions, which will give service users greater ability to manage their symptoms and reduce their distress. We are working with a North West NHS Trust to roll this out throughout our registered services. This work has been commended by both the Healthcare Commission and CSCI, as has our our work with CSIP around ‘routine outcomes collaboration’ and the development of a service user survey (which won two national awards).
